Finding Your Deep Roots

In a year like 2020, with a pandemic and other disruptive events that turned life upside down, it’s completely normal to feel afraid, unsettled, uprooted, and anxious. The problem with continuously living in fear, is that your animal brain turns on to the maximum. In other words, you are regularly in fight or flight mode, which is very stressful to your mind and body.

Conversely, if you can get out of your animal brain, you can more easily access your frontal lobe, which is responsible for higher level thinking skills. More importantly, you can access your heartspace and deepest wisdom. Basically, while other people are saying “2020 sucks!” you would be able to enjoy the great shifts and learnings that come along with major challenges!

So how do you get out of fear and anxiety when it feels like life is spiraling out of control? You reconnect to your roots and deepen your grounding practice.

When you know what your deepest roots are, what makes you who you are, you will be able to find your happy place and feel safe no matter what turmoil is occurring around you.

If you don’t know what your roots are or how to ground yourself, just follow the visualization in the video below!
